All programs, courses and experiences in the School of Education support the Claflin Imperative of “preparing students for leadership and service roles in a multicultural, global, and technological society.” The five degree programs in the School of Education are Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle Level Education, Sport Management and Human Performance & Recreation. Additionally, the School of Education holds ultimate responsibility for all of the teacher education areas at Claflin University.

The School of Education also supports the Air Force ROTC program (Detachment 775’s) hosted at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.  Claflin University allows its students to enroll in this program and eventually earn a commission in the US Air Force.
