Counseling

"Working together to makes dreams a reality"

No one goes through life problem-free...

The Counseling Program is committed to accomplishing the mission of the University. Counseling services play a vital role in creating an atmosphere conducive to learning. Our goal is to help students maximize their sense of well-being, as well as, their academic, personal, social, and career growth. The Staff of the Counseling Center is available to assist faculty, staff, enrolled and potential students. We believe in the dignity, worth, and uniqueness of each individual, and strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for those who seek counseling. All Counseling Services are confidential.

Individual & Group Counseling:

Personal counseling assists students with personal issues that may interfere with short-term academic success. Specific strategic plan includes:

  • Coping skills
  • Crisis management
  • Life transitions
  • Sexual assault
  • Substance abuse
  • Domestic violence
  • Assertiveness training
  • Stress management
  • Anger management
  • Personal & Family relationships
  • Depression

The College urges students to notify Counseling Services of any special accommodation needs at least 30 working days before the first day of class. This notification will help ensure quality and availability of services required. Documentation is required for special accommodations.
