Upward Bound Application Guidelines

Step 1 - Submit Application:
The student must submit:

• Completed Application Form
• School Counselor Recommendation From
• Teacher Recommendation Forms (Science, Math and English)
• Recent Grade Report
• Documentation/Statement of Income

Step 2 - Interview Process:
The student & the Parent/Guardian will be contacted by letter once all the paperwork has been received and reviewed by the Director. A personal interview with the Upward Bound staff will be scheduled and conducted. A Parent/Guardian must accompany the student to the interview.

Step 3 - Notification of Decision:
After the documents and interview have been evaluated, a decision will be made. If accepted, a letter of Acceptance will be mailed to the student and Parent/Guardian.

Where to apply? Do one of the following:

• Students should contact their School's Guidance Office or the Upward Bound office for an Application From (pdf) and Recommendation Forms (pdf). Applications can be made
  during the year. Students must fill out the required paperwork and mail the applications
