Renowned Islamic scholar Muhammad Umar Memon will speak at Claflin University on Aug. 29 at 6:15 pm in the James S. Thomas Science Center Iowa Room.

Rev. Dr. Ken J. Walden says he wants to increase community involvement and international mission trips to Claflin University’s rich religious tradition as the institution’s new chaplain.

A quick conversation with Devin Randolph, ’07, is sure to yield the impression that he is an impressive, affable young man. He even carries the Bible around the same way most people have their cell phones cemented to their hand.

Claflin University has selected Dr. Jerome Fitch to be its next athletics director. The veteran athletics administer plans to contribute to the University’s strategic vision by elevating Claflin athletics programs in all facets.

The Rev. Dr. George Alfred McClenan retired after serving more than three decades in the ministry – including pastoring churches in Orangeburg and Bamberg – during a special ceremony on July 6 in Holly Hill.
