Chemistry instructor Judith Kirkley was recently honored by the South Carolina Independent Schools Association (SCISA) for her excellence in judging the organization’s annual science fair for middle and high schools students.

Chair of the History and Sociology Department Dr. Christopher Curtis has released his new book Jefferson’s Freeholders and the Politics of Ownership in the Old Dominion from the Cambridge University Press, one of the world’s largest publishing houses.

The extraordinarily talented faculty of Claflin University recently gathered to close out the spring semester and recognize among their peers at the Spotlight on Faculty Excellence ceremony.

In one way or another, Edith Frederick has spent a majority of her life on the campus of Claflin University. During the 18th Annual Rewards and Recognition Luncheon for faculty and staff, Ms. Frederick was honored for 42 years of service to the University. She is now retired.
