Benedict/Claflin Donate to Haiti Relief

Benedict College and Claflin University have partnered to donate $5.00 of all tickets sold from its January 28, 2010 basketball game to the aid the earthquake disaster relief in Haiti.  Athletics Directors Willie Washington of Benedict and Dr. Timothy J. Autry, of Claflin, and Mr. Willie Washington of Benedict has pledged the ticket sales receipts from this game to the relief effort.  “This is just a small way that these two institutions can give back to society.  You never know when the shoe will be on the other foot,” said Dr. Autry.

Claflin University will also donate $4.00 from each ticket sold from its January 26^th double-header against Clark-Atlanta University toward the Haiti relief effort, which is scheduled for a 5:30 pm tip-off.

Tickets for the Benedict game, if purchased from Claflin University, are $10.00 and $15.00 if you purchase them from Columbia, SC the day of the game.  You may purchase tickets from the Business Office, in Tingley Hall on the campus of Claflin University.
