Dr. Johnny Lowery
With an excellent record of teaching and corporate experience, Mr. Johnny Lowery cooperates with our business school to foster Claflin students as a visionary leader and provides his service to the fields of business, management, and entrepreneurship.
Biography
Dr. Lowery is an Assistant Professor of Management in the School of Business and Interim Department Chair He earned his Ph. D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Jackson State University. He brings over 40 years of military and corporate experience in overall organizational and business management, operations management, supply chain management and logistics, entrepreneurship, and business research to the field of academia.
Dr. Lowery is a member of the PhD Project, an organization founded upon the premise that advancements in workplace diversity could be propelled forward by increasing the diversity of business school faculty. Dr. Lowery is also a member of the Academy of Management (AOM) and the Southern Management Association (SMA), where he serves as a reviewer for journal article submissions.
At Claflin University, Johnny Lowery serves as the Faculty Liaison for the Business Executive Exchange Program (BEEP). BEEP is an organization founded and championed by the National Urban League to provide a conduit to major corporations for internships, scholarships, and jobs for underserved and underrepresented students of color at HBCUs and PWIs across the nation as they matriculate through and finish their college careers.
