Dr. Harpal S. Grewal

Dr. Harpal S. Grewal is dedicated to provide holistic education experience to students.

Biography

He has more than thirty years of teaching, research and leadership experience. He has extensive global travel experience. He prepares students to be successful professionals, productive leaders and individuals with high character and morals.

Dr. Grewal was born in a small village in Punjab, India. He finished his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana, India. He moved to United Kingdom in 1976 where he worked as Local Officer II in the Department of Health and Social Security. In 1978, he came to United States to pursue Ph. D. study at The Ohio State University, Columbus Ohio. He joined Claflin University in 1983 as Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance. During the last thirty years, he has served at Claflin University as Department Chair, Division Chair and Founding Dean of the School of Business. He strongly believes that with hard work and determination, all goals in life could be achieved. This is the message he takes to his classes as Professor of Economics and Finance.
