Biography

Mrs. Charlene Pruitt-Dorsey has over 20 years of healthcare experience. For over 15 years, she worked as a Laboratory Technologist at the Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg & Calhoun Counties, Barnwell, and Bamberg Hospitals. She then became an ICU, home health and hospice nurse for several years. After attending Grand Canyon University and South University, Mrs. Pruitt-Dorsey has two Masters of Science in Nursing as a Nurse Educator and Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a recipient of the South Carolina Palmetto Gold Award for Nursing Excellence. She has taught student nurses in the College of Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina, and the Department of Nursing at South Carolina State University and Claflin University.
