Camera in hand and ideas always flowing, Erica Woods is known for bringing creativity to every space she enters.
Whether she is capturing portraits, designing graphics or producing content for campus organizations, her talents shine through in everything she touches.
For Erica, a senior honors college student majoring in mass communication with a concentration in public relations and a minor in marketing, creativity is more than a skill.
It is her signature. As a photographer, graphic designer and storyteller, she has built a reputation for turning concepts into compelling visuals.
“I love capturing moments,” Woods said. “Photography and design give me a way to express what words sometimes cannot.”
Her work ranges from event photography and travel images to digital graphics and branding materials. With a sharp eye for detail, color and emotion, she creates visuals that not only look good but communicate clearly and intentionally. Many student organizations have relied on her talents, and her work consistently elevates their branding.
For the past three years, Erica has served on the Claflin Student Activities Board, where she puts her creative skills into action by designing promotional graphics, curating visual content and helping shape the look and feel of major campus events.
Her contributions strengthened the organization’s identity and brought a fresh, modern aesthetic to student programming.
Erica has also taken her talents internationally, studying abroad in London, Brazil and Greece twice. Each country expanded her worldview and deeply influenced her creative style.
“Traveling changed my vision,” she said. “It taught me how people communicate beyond language and that visuals are a universal connector.”
Her professors and peers describe her as dedicated, thoughtful and innovative.
Balancing honors college coursework, leadership roles, photography and design projects require discipline, a challenge Erica meets with focus and passion.
After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in public relations, branding and visual storytelling, creating work that is bold, intentional and culturally inspired.
