Every morning starting at 9, Jashad Sanders begins his day with a quick breakfast while listening to his favorite tunes.
Being a full-time student at Claflin University and a music producer can be very difficult for Sanders.
“When I wake up every morning, I get straight to it. Even though I’m still active in school, I work on making my beats any chance I get.”
Sanders, a local music producer from Greenville, has produced fo Hip-Hop artists like “Band$UpBray,” “Quedo” and “Pablo Houdini.”
He started his career in 2019 and is now looking to expand his talent all around the world.
“I have a huge passion for music,'' Sanders said. “I had to grind so hard to get all of the equipment that I needed.” “I sat back and studied the game before I could just jump in with no knowledge.”
Sanders, a mass communication major, is looking to use his degree to become an audio engineer and to also gain more knowledge in beat producing.
“Honestly, this degree is going to take me far.” “Yeah, four years may sound like a lot to me, but it’s all going to be worth it.
“I want to be able to produce and mix all types of music,” Sanders said. “I don’t want people to just label me as a Hip-Hop producer.”
Even though this journey is very difficult for him, Sanders has kept a positive attitude through the years.
Currently, he is working on the artist Band$UpBray’s upcoming album titled “The Wzrd.”
“If you have a passion for something, get up and get active,” he said. “The worst thing you can do in life is to waste your talents.”
“I love what I do,” Sanders said. “Music keeps me going.”
