The Claflin Lady Panthers are working hard to prepare for a season in which great things are expected.

“Iron sharpening iron,” senior Destiny Coleman said.

“The team is coming together well, everyone is forming their own personality as well as getting to know each other’s personalities. They are starting to bond,” Coach Terrence Jenkins said.

The team has undergone some roster changes, with only six returning players from the 2022-23 season. This year we can expect to see six transfers and three freshmen added to the roster.

Both Coleman and Coach Jenkins say that as long as they work together, work hard and hold each other accountable, they will have a successful season.

“We are ready to work, ready to prove doubters, and ready to add to the legacy of Claflin Lady Panthers basketball,” Coleman said.

The Lady Panthers are coming off a 12-13 season in 2023.

Claflin opens the season Nov. 14 at North Greenville.
