Mr. and Miss Claflin win CIAA crowns

Mister and Miss Claflin accept the CIAA titles.
Mister and Miss Claflin University Derrion Campbell and Genesis Morris were crowned as the 2025 Mister and Miss CIAA on March 1.
The two, along with 22 other kings and queens from various HBCUs, competed for the title in the Mister and Miss CIAA Scholarship Competition, which was part of the 2025 CIAA Basketball Tournament Feb. 25-March 2 in Baltimore.
The titles were determined by various factors, but the main component was voting. Each contestant was allowed to get votes from students and faculty from their respective schools and community members. Voting was also unlimited.
Derrion and Genesis were both able to secure the title of Mister and Miss Claflin, a feat that hasn’t been done since 2022-23 Mister and Miss Claflin Mendel Rivers and Arteria Gibson.
