Kylon Watson -- Slizzy K

Kylon Watson, better known as “Slizzy K,” has an upcoming album called “Girls Love Slizz 2,” which is set to drop in a few weeks.

In February 2022, Slizzy released the first installment of his album, "Girls Love Slizz," which he intends to make a series. The musician is most known for the 2021 hit "Hilltop Shawty," which he released.

Slizzy received great feedback from his single, "Netflix, Weed, and Drank," which was released Sept. 8. Fans can expect many things from the young rapper.

“Yea everyone should be looking forward to some merch, radio appearances and live performances,” Slizzy said.

The 21-year-old artist is a senior mass communications major at Claflin. He’s in the Alice Carson Tisdale Honors College and a member of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity.

He has a desire to achieve greatness and create music that resonates with his fans.

“I wanted to create a sense of confidence and self-assurance, Slizzy said.

Slizzy developed a love for music while he was a young child in Little Rock, Arkansas.

“I’ve always had a passion for music. I used to watch the BET awards and would perform,” he said.

Slizzy cited the advantages and disadvantages of being an independent artist as well as some of the challenges he faces. He does not allow them to discourage him, though.

“The most challenging thing is first being an independent artist. Everything is harder because you are paying for everything in general. I’m doing everything myself, including writing my own music, but it’s the most beneficial part in the long run.”
