From April 10 to 16, Claflin University hosted its 12th annual Claflin's Arts & Letters Annual Bash, also known as CALA-Bash.

During the week, Claflin students, staff and faculty take the time to celebrate the visual and performing arts through artistic events, music, food and so much more.

Although there were many events throughout the week, it was the CALA-Bash meltdown that had the Claflin University students excited. From the fried chicken to the lively music, students had a blast partying at the paw.

The Claflin community enjoyed the various class dances, watching Enveux Modeling Company walk the runway, and the Greeks represent their prospective organizations.

For some students, this was there first time experiencing CALA-Bash. Such is the case for Claflin freshman Summer Edmond. “I do appreciate some of wellness events they had for the Claflin students. I can’t wait to see how CALA-Bash will grow over the years.”

For other students, it was their last time experiencing CALA-Bash as an undergraduate.

Graduating senior Arielle Wiggins said, “I enjoyed CALA-Bash this year, especially because it felt like a celebration and one of my last hoorah’s before graduating.”
