Life at Claflin is much more than academics. We are a community equally dedicated to involvement, exploration, recreation and service. Welcome to your second home - in all its lively diversity.
Choose a cause for Philanthropy Day. Savor Fried Chicken Wednesdays. Cheer on the Panthers, or play in a pick-up game. Enjoy the community of residence hall living. Join a sorority or fraternity. Get involved, spread your wings and meet new people, some of whom will become friends for life. These are just a snapshot of life at Claflin.
The Residential Life Office is responsible for providing a safe, comfortable and active living environment at Claflin. Students who choose to live on campus are close to classrooms, computer labs, the dining hall, academic support services, and the many other services, activities and resources we offer.
Residence Life
They are not just places to sleep and study. The residence halls are an extension of the Claflin mission, encouraging individual responsibility and facilitating your personal growth and development. Through the experience of living on campus, you will be challenged to broaden your understanding and appreciation of various life styles, cultures, values and attitudes.
The eleven residence halls on campus are staffed with trained resource personnel who will provide you with the information and assistance you need as a resident student. Get to know these staff members; they are a vital part of your on-campus living experience.
Dining
Whether you "eat to live" or "live to eat," food is an important consideration in college life. At Claflin, we work hard to provide dining options and sensible meal plans that offer delicious food that's also healthful.
