Claflin University to Host Clyburn Book Signing June 15

Jun 11, 2014
Congressman James E. Clyburn will be at Claflin University on Sunday, June 15, to sign copies of his new memoir, Blessed Experiences: Genuinely Southern, Proudly Black.

The event will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Ministers’ Hall, and is free and open to the public.

In Blessed Experiences, Clyburn tells in his own inspirational words how an African-American boy from the Jim Crow South was able to beat the odds to achieve great success and become, as President Barack Obama describes him, “one of a handful of people who, when they speak, the entire Congress listens.” Clyburn will greet attendees and sign copies of his book, which will be available on site for $34.95.
