Hurricane Florence Update #8 – September 15, 2018

Claflin University will resume normal business operations on Monday, September 17 at 8 a.m. However, classes will not resume until Tuesday, September 18 at 8 a.m. Evening and online classes will also resume on Tuesday.

Residential students will be able to return to their residence halls beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 16. If you have any questions regarding residential life, please call (803) 535-5651.

The University Dining Center will open on Sunday, September 16 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for brunch and from 5 until 7 p.m. for dinner. Late night dining will be available from 10 p.m. until 12 midnight. The Dining Hall will resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 18.

The safety of our students, faculty and staff remains a top priority. We also recognize that Hurricane/Tropical Storm Florence may have caused challenges with returning to campus. In addition, we understand that students may have to arrange travel plans. If your situation is one that needs special attention and you feel you may be delayed in returning to begin classes on Tuesday, please contact Dr. Leroy Durant at ldurant@claflin.edu as soon as possible.
