Cecil J. Williams, '60, will receive the state of South Carolina's highest art
award, the Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Governor's Award for the Arts. The 2019 Verner Awards will be presented with the Jean Laney Harris Folk Heritage Awards at South Carolina Arts Awards sponsored by Colonial Life on Wednesday, May 1, at the USC Alumni Center (900 Senate St., Columbia).
