Due to the predicted weather associated with Hurricane Dorian, Claflin University is closed. Classes will resume and offices will reopen on Monday, September 9. Students are advised to check Moodle for any instructions from professors on assignments.
Claflin University has implemented a shelter in the Jonas T. Kennedy Health and Wellness Complex (located on the campus). It is mandatory for students to move to the Health and Wellness Complex after dinner (in the Dining Hall) TODAY at 7 p.m. A late night meal will be served in the Health and Wellness Complex at 10 p.m.
Claflin University Residential Life Coordinators will be on-hand to answer questions in case of emergencies. If you have any questions regarding residential life, please call (803) 535-5301.
Beginning Thursday, September 5, meals will be provided at the Health and Wellness Complex during the following hours: 8:30-9:30 a.m. – Breakfast; 12:00-1:00 p.m. – Lunch; and 5:00-6:00 p.m. – Dinner.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to follow WIS, WLTX, ABC Columbia or scemd.org for local reports on the storm.
