Claflin University Hosts Annual PAWS UP Boots and Blazers Brunch: A Slam Dunk for Scholarships

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (Dec. 9, 2024) — It’s time for Panther fans to suit up in their favorite boots and blazers and gear up for an all-star celebration. Claflin University will host the fourth annual PAWS UP Boots and Blazers Brunch at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, in the ballroom of the new student center.
Tickets and sponsorships are now available for this popular event, which supports scholarships for student-athletes.
This year’s roster of honorees includes:
  • Lessie Price, principal consultant with GES, LLC, an affiliate of Amentum
  • Monique Michele Rogers, founder and CEO of H&S Holding and Management Company
  • Tiffany Green Berry, ESPN commentator
Co-hosted by First Lady LaKisha Warmack and Bonnie O’Neal, the popular event promises a mix of inspiring stories, heartfelt connections, and standout moments.
Attendees are encouraged to pair their favorite boots and blazer combo for the occasion, bringing unmatched Panther pride and style to the celebration. With great food, uplifting messages, and an engaging program, this year’s brunch is poised to score big for Claflin fans and scholar-athletes alike.
Proceeds from the event will fund scholarships for student-athletes, helping them thrive both academically and athletically.
After the brunch, guests are invited to the Jonas T. Kennedy Health and Wellness Center Edward L. Tullis Arena to cheer on the Lady Panthers and Panthers as they take on the Fayetteville State Lady Broncos and Broncos in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association doubleheader.
